We planned to rope the support of information technology to help illiterates, children and ignorant patients for better understandment of their medical prescription written by doctor regardless of poor handwriting and misinterpretation of drug course. We realize that misinterpretation of medical scripts leads to human life at risk. So as an initiative we developed a product under the title Digital Medical Prescription which will avoid all above miss leads that cause the life hazards in the society.
“Doctor‘s Scribble - Patient‘s Trouble”, doctors and hospitals have been recently in the gossips - unfortunately for the wrong reasons. Even the so-called world class hospitals and reputed physician have been subjects of accusations by patients on the ground of hand written prescription which leads to the doling out the wrong drug by pharmacists.
It is not a problem with physician or with their handwriting; it’s a problem concerned with the interpretation of scripts. If the scripts are going to be digitalized in a legible manner, then there would be no harm for pharmacist to interpret the script or patient to understand and follow the exact prescribed script.
Addressing all problems and based on physicians support, we designed the Digital Medical Prescription (DMP), software for physicians to do away with the traditional way of prescribing handwritten medical script during doctor-patient encounters without disturbing the routine work style of physicians.
